Karen Zhang is a Ph.D. candidate in the Wharton School’s Department of Health Care Management and Economics at the University of Pennsylvania. Karen’s research interests include health economics, health policy, public economics, and industrial organization. Her dissertation research examines the impact of subsidy policy on the individual health insurance market and public spending. Prior to Wharton, Karen received MPH in Health Policy and MA in Development Economics from Yale University. She received her undergraduate degree in Economics and Mathematics from University of California, Berkeley.
